This is truly sad news. My condolences and prayers are with the Orbachs. He was an amazing actor.

The news of his death was soo shocking, unexpected and saddening...his performance of "lullaby of Broadway" beats patrick cassidy's any day. I was first intoduced to him as lt. briscoe(sp.?) and i love law and order reruns soo much. He is a talent that will be missed terribly by many. My condolences to his family and friends

Quite a loss to musical theatre. What a range - from Billy Flynn to Lumiere to Law & Order. A class act like we don't see much of these days.
