Kudos to Jersey Boys for winning another award...much deserved!


Did anyone get to watch them accept the award..if so who was there to accept it? I'm guessing none of the cast, but i could be wrong. I was so mad about missing it, because I wasn't sure what time they were going to do the Best Original Broadway Cast Recording Nominees so I just turned on the channel whenever.

i am glad that they won but if this show was made into a cast cd then good vibrations , and hot feet and the other shows that had other people songs.

And the award goes to the record's producer, Bob Gaudio. Just to put some posters straight, the Grammy's are about RECORDINGS. The test isn't: what's your favourite show, but which cast album was the best record.

jersey boys is my favorite show, but even if it weren't i'd most likely still say that its cast recording and producer, Bob Gaudio & the show itself altogether does deserve awards just by the ratings it gets & its grosses each week..also its OBCR is always on top of the charts each week, so why should it not get all the awards including this one that it gets.

Key word, theatre community. We are entitled to be as bitchy and mean as we want when things don't go our way. It kinda comes with the territory.

I don't see whay everyone is so pissed that Jersey Boys won the award. Out of all the cast recordings nominated, Sweeney is my favorite, but JB was the best album overall. It was extremely well produced, and it deserved the Grammy.

And besides, it's the freaking Grammy! It's not like it won a Pulitzer.
