That's maybe even the biggest reason why he's miscast. Gideon is cute as hell, don't get me wrong, but he's not a conventional choice for a typical leading man - which is what's so special about Seymour. Seymour is written for the fat, nerdy, balding, big featured, big voiced men who can give a leading performance but never get the chance to.
Seymour is not a Clark Kent, take off his glasses and he's gorgeous type of character. Casting Jonathan as Seymour is sorta like casting him in "Significant Other" - it really, really doesn't work. But it's not going to stop a gaggle of horny gays from choosing him if the alternative was someone like, say, Grey Henson, Larry Owens, or Gideon Glick. (Just to give a few varied options on who fits into the Seymour type worlds better than Jonathan, who I love, ever could.)
Anyway, yay Gideon!!!
They/them.

Stopped by the box office yesterday to get tickets to another show with Glick and the lady at the box office said there's literally two tickets left in the entire run for Groff shows. I suspect the Glick shows will sell out as well given the limited run."
I went to the box office today, and they said they were sold out of Groff tickets. Officially. I grabbed some Gideon tickets just to be safe, but there was still a nice selection of those left for anyone hoping. But I'd grab them sooner rather than later.
I'm a Groff geek but it's fairly easy to disguise handsome with a brown colours, a cardigan, glasses, a change of hairstyle and the way he will act, mannerisms etc. He will look total nerd until he does the naked scene.
Of course they aren't. That poster is inappropriate and forever talking about male body parts and what he will do to men he will never, ever meet. For no reason whatsoever. This thread is about the show on a Broadway message board. Be aware of it and go to Pornhub instead.

Agreed, it is very much the mannerisms and the clothes that make Seymour the character he is. Looking up footage of Gyllenhaal, he actually does a lot with the character, even as Gyllenhaal is considerably attractive and very on par with Groff. Unless Groff makes some very odd choices, I don't think he will be a bad Seymour.

Pose[r] you are always a pain on here and devoid of any sense of humour whatsoever.
Of course I will never meet ANY those men of my dreams you silly sausage, who will? and as for the JG[actually my REAL initials] alternate, the confirmation of GG, after I looked up who he is, should be perfect.
Send me a PM and tell me how to find a 'pornhub'?-most curious now.
SweetLips22, You never know who you may meet. I saw Deathtrap in London with Jonathan. I stage doored with three British girls and myself. I was more interested in meeting Estelle Parsons. When he came out, I asked if I could take a picture. He insisted that I be in the picture with him. Then HE put his arm around me. But I knew he belonged to you. Also, not that I ever went on it. But Pornhub is a site for free straight and gay porn.

Seymour was written for a 1960 film in which an actor is playing a character. Jonathan Haze looked pretty good when he wasn’t playing Seymour.
