Same! He’s a terrific actor and I suspect he’ll acquit himself admirably in this. Would love to see a transfer - maybe to BAM or St. Ann’s.

The run sold out after the public sale today, but the Almeida is good about getting returns online quickly. After 90 minutes in the queue I snagged one of the last remaining seats, albeit a partial view.

London has a promising and starry fall theater season coming up, much more so than New York. In addition to Josh O’Connor, there’s Cate Blanchett, Kristin Scott Thomas, Chris Pine, Mary Louise Parker, Gillian Anderson, Billy Crudup, Christine Baranksi, Richard E Grant. Keira Knightly…and that’s just off the top of my head as a casual New York observer. Has New York theater lost its luster?
