Following two sold-out runs in London, Jack Holden's incredible new true crime thriller will be coming stateside!
I saw this in December last year, and it was probably one of the best plays I have ever seen. It was terrifying and electric. Anyone who plans to be in NYC this spring, YOU NEED TO SEE IT! Book your tickets immediately! NYC is not ready for this powerful play! Has anyone on here seen it during its London runs?
I’m actually thrilled. This was on my shortlist to see when I went last week, but it was sold out. So glad I get a chance to see it now.

Book as soon as tickets go on sale! You won't regret it!
I dig the music, for sure, so color me jazzed:

Loved the show in London.
Wish it was placing in a different space.

These modern edgy British plays hardly ever play well in ny

looking forward to it
Wish it plays in a different theatre tho.
The Lucille Lortel needs a complete renovation before presenting new plays. The sightlines are truly atrocious. No one should be seated in the mezzanine, or anywhere in the orchestra that isn’t an aisle seat on the sides. A terrible theater.

I know many theatres in NYC have official landmark status that roadblocks renovations, but the Lortel isn’t one of them. However, I’d bet they really don’t have any disposable income to do a full gut renovation, which would cost hundreds of thousands, if not millions, and the venue isn’t exactly a profitable one.
TodayTix presale is live. Starts at $88 and goes up to $166.
I think I’ll hold off a bit.

Would adding some sort of rake in the orchestra really cost hundreds of thousands? The venue is consistently booked with fairly strong shows. It’s baffling that they’re charging $166 for such terrible sightlines.

Maybe, but this is one of the best things I've ever seen. The performer and musician are mesmerizing.

Aside from the actual renovation, there are inspections, permits, contractors, lost revenue from not having a show, staff that still make a salary. It all adds up really quickly.
Also, judging by the last year or so, the results have been on a relatively downed trajectory. Though they had a hat trick with “Oh Mary”, “Hold On To Me Darling”, and “Vanya”, that was followed by “Duke & Roya” (closed 3 weeks early), Dylan Mulvaney’s show (run was cut in half before opening), and “Gruesome Playground Injuries” (financially underperformed), and nothing right now is indicating that “Data” is a blockbuster.

btw, this is now on sale on TodayTix, with tickets as low as $66 for last two rows of mezz and $140 for some prime orchestra. I ponied up and just bought a mezz ticket, but it doesn't seem to be selling hugely well so far.
