Not in a musical but her own one woman show. Like what Mario Canone did with Laugh Whore.
What do you think?
AMEN to that!
Look at my signature.

I think it is exactly what the east coast needs. Kathy is amazing.
HOLY CRAP the name of this thread scared me. All I could see was Kathy Griffin playing Scuttle...
Anyway, YES! AMEN to the need for her one-woman show!
Could anyone see her as the agent in LITTLE DOG LAUGHED?

I could. I think she'd be good in that. But would she boost up ticket sales?
Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have found our replacement for Christine Ebersole.
She wouldn't sell tickets. The New York crowd isn't into her style of comedy, and you need to be able to sell to them first before anyone, to get the word of mouth going. Plus, I could see critics getting *very* mean and discarding her, a la Suzanne Somers.
Maybe a show in Las Vegas though? But not Broadway.

as part of the New York Crowd, I think she's amazing, and I'd love to see her in a musical
I'm not a particular fan of her style of comedy, but who knows, she might do pretty well.
I adore her.
D-LIST is one of my favorite shows.

In a fair world, Kathy Griffin would be kept in a cage and people would pay a small amount, say a dollar or two, to poke at her with a stick.
I would go at leat ten times!

Put her in Hairspray as Prudy/Matron/Gym Teacher/ Etc.
Broadway would be a great place for Kathy. I saw her twice last year and she is great live.

That would rock
HAIRSPRAY - sure.
LITTLE DOG LAUGHED - no way. She's a comedian, not a skilled, trained, experienced actress.

I don't know, I've seen her do some pretty impressive improv work.
I think she could do it
I agree with you producer2, i've always said she'd be great as the adult authority figure in hairspray. But i love lisa jollie so not anytime soon.
Rath:
Did you see her Juliet at the Old Globe in 1958?
And her comic timing on Suddenly Susan was Killer.
