Personally I'm a fan of hers. She's got a great personality, awesome work ethic and has a history of acting. Any thoughts on her maybe coming to Broadway in a play. If so what role?

I am not familiar with her acting, but wouldn't a daily morning talk show conflict with a Broadway schedule?
It would have to be a play. I remember that stunt she did on the show where she played a scene from Mary Poppins and her singing voice was pretty rough.

Rosie did it, Whoopi did it. I just have no desire to see this Kristin Chenoweth wanna be on stage.

She was great at the broad farce-y stuff on "Hope & Faith" so I could see her doing well in that style of play. No roles jump off the top of my head.
I think she's *very* smart and wouldn't jump into that schedule to play a role she wasn't perfect for.
However, Whoopi only did a week or two of double duty during Xanadu and The View. I can not see Kelly doing a play, getting home at 11:30/12 every night, waking up at 4/5 am to do her talk show. That would be grueling and mentally and physically impossible. It would have to coincide with her hiatus, which she generally spends on a beach somewhere.
Rosie Perez is going to be doing it in the Spring, but it's live at 11am with no kids; Kelly has three kids and does the show live at 9am. I think she'd be a hoot, but I can't imagine her doing it except for a really short run.
Frankly, I'm surprised the Weisslers haven't thrown enough money at her to do Roxie, which I think she'd be a perfect fit.
Ugh, the thought of Kelly Ripa as Roxie! That would be as welcoming as having Rosie O' Donnell as Mama Morton.
I'm actually surprised that hasn't happened. The Weisslers would cast Rosie in anything and Kelly could probably be a slightly better Roxie than Christie Brinkley so she wouldn't be the worst Roxie ever.
