According to this article on IMDB, Kelsey Grammer has signed on for one year, and will alternate the the lead roles in 6-month stints.
He will be playing Georges when it opens in April and then switch to play Albin beginning around October.

You're kidding! I can't believe this! OMG! This is brand new information!
"And the move means Grammer has to memorise the entire script."
That's how the french remember their lines.
Interesting...

I would like to see his first performance as the other role to see if any mistakes will be made. I guess you could say it's like an understudy who has to know multiple tracks, but it would be weird playing each role for six months straight.
Whoah. Was this posted before? If only there were a way to find out.
I would rather watch Grammer as Georges for the sole fact that I think it would be a tad creepy...
Just think..."Fraiser" in DRAG!

What boggles my mind is how many people seem to be really vexed by this.
I think it's actually a pretty smart marketing gimmick -- right as the summer season is dwindling down, he'll take over as Albin.
I like it.

It's been done before with other shows.
Yeah, try doing it in Brigadoon....
