i was wondering why there are so many British stage actors transferring to broadway? With Stephen Ashfield, Rochelle, alistair and now killian. Is equity allowing these transfers to make up for the amount of Book of Mormon guys have been transferred?

In terms of UK Equity transfers, Michael C. Hall, Michael Esper, and Sophia Ann Caruso are currently on the West End, and Cherry Jones and Brian J. Smith are doing Glass Menagerie with Esper next year. It goes both ways.

no she's not British, I was commenting more on that fact the equity exchange doesn't seem like it will be equal because there are a lot of British equity members coming over here. But like I mentioned this could just be making up for the number of BOM transfers or maybe I'm wrong and there are more AEA members on the exchange members over there

...and since Britain just voted to keep EU migrants like himself out of the UK, maybe it's no wonder he's high-tailing it to New York. :)

Saw him in The Commitments several years ago, an absolute standout blow your shoes off performance is a sea of a mediocre show, have been dying for him to make it over here, so excited!

West End has way more limited engagements than Broadway. You'd expect to see many more American actors there than those in Book of Mormon.

Though all the details of Brexit aren't finalized, Republic of Irish citizens will most likely not be affected by Brexit.  They've had rights to live and work throughout Britain since becoming independent in 1922 and were able to vote in the election.

Irish citizens living in the UK could vote in the referendum, just to clarify, but obviously not the Irish nation as a whole. In any case, I wasn't being entirely serious. I'm sure he can work wherever he chooses - judging from clips, he certainly has the talent for it.

He certainly has been having a great run in the UK opening in The Commitments, Memphis and then Kinky Boots and getting great reviews and a growing fan base for all three and one the few recognizable names on the West end  who have got there via talent and working their way up rather than being put in the role due to their xfactor - UK got talent - any reality show "fame" - 

Oh Brexit vote was a bit more about us being independently governed rather than being told what to do by faceless unelected officials in Brussels (Via Germany)

Also while typing this it has come up on the broadwayworld tv slot that you are getting Alistair Brammer as Chris in miss Saigon - thats one casting you should be complaining about. (the same underwhelming one as in the dvd release)

I'm actually excited to see him on this side of the pond. As Posner mentioned, he's been in a string of big roles on the West End, one right after the other. After Ramin, he's become one of the hottest commodities over there,  so of course they're going to find a way to bring him over.
