Wowowow! The sound quality is sooooo clear.
Hey, bk, any possibility for an iTunes relase after the 3000 copies are sold?

No iTunes. And no copies after the 3000 - it's very complex. So, get 'em while you can :)
We're so thrilled to be releasing it - it's one of my favorite Sondheim scores!

BobbyBabyBubyBaby - are you PMSing? We're releasing a CD - buy it or don't. Perhaps you'd like to explain your negativity, which seems odd. In fact, you get the prize, my boy, for the ONLY negative and rather silly post about this CD anywhere. If anyone would rather purchase from Footlight, it may be available there - not sure yet.

Can't go into the details, but it's really a limited edition and therefore iTunes cannot be part of the equation.
Also, I can say that it won't be cheaper at Footlight (if they order it) and most likely will be a few dollars more.

Posted: 4/8/08 at 12:34amOh, now I get BobbyBuby - he doesn't like me because I questioned the way he was trumpeting his ten best recordings of the year list. Now we know.

Why is BobbyBubby so cranky? Is it the crazy Seattle weather? So it snowed in late March, so what?
Anyway, I'm excited for this release. I just recently picked up "Greenwillow", and would love to hear more of Anthony Perkins' singing, and trying to imagine him as Bobby in Company (as was once rumored long ago). Great having (old) new Sondheim too.

BK, congrats for pulling this off. It can't have been an easy task. And the sound bites sound great!! How much remastering was involved to get them sounding so clean?
And an additional question -- was a soundtrack recording ever released when the show was aired, or were these recordings taken from the show itself?

Philcrosby-
You could get them directly from Sondheim if you wrote him about. They were on LP, and who knows, he may still have some.
