Posted: 4/1/10 at 12:21pmThese student rush prices are slowly creeping up. But thanks, miracle. Good to know.

Posted: 4/1/10 at 12:39pmWell the Weisslers are on the producing team, and $36.50 is the price of their CHICAGO rush. Maybe they set the price? It's certainly better than those $41.50 rushes.

Uh oh, "subject to availability."
Are we going to have people whining when it isn't available again?

Posted: 4/1/10 at 2:13pmCHICAGO's rush is $31.50, last time I checked. Did it go up?

I'm assuming this means when the box office opens?
Thanks for posting, can't wait.

"Are we going to have people whining when it isn't available again?"
We still don't know if this has the same meaning as PROMISES PROMISES' "subject to availability." Lots of shows with locked-in, consistent rush seats are listed as "subject to availability" (e.g. A BEHANDING IN SPOKANE).
For all we know this could be designated front row, desginated rear mezz, or whatever they have available (IF they have anything available).

I asked and the box office guy told me it wasn't guaranteed for every performance. I don't know if the rush seats are only in a certain section, but either way, if the show is sold out, rush will not be available.
I'm assuming this means when the box office opens?
Yes.

Posted: 4/1/10 at 3:45pmHuh. I'll have to check on that. Last time I asked at the theater, they told me $31.50. That was a few months ago, though.

Posted: 4/1/10 at 4:58pmwell, considering La Cage is offering $55 discounts tickets during the week, it doesn't seem like it's selling out.

Posted: 4/2/10 at 12:04amWhen I was buying my tickets for this show, the box office guy mentioned that they were figuring out where to put student rush tix, and he said it'd be rear mezz or balcony.

Posted: 4/6/10 at 10:30pmAnyone try? When did you get there? Where are you seats?
LA CAGE AUX FOLLES Student Rush#15
Posted: 4/6/10 at 10:45pmWe stopped by after we left the Night Music CD signing at about 2:40. There were still rush tickets available, and the seats were in the rear mezz. We ended up passing (didn't feel like waiting around all day), but it's good to know they were still available at that hour.

Posted: 4/7/10 at 1:29pmFrom my experiences at the Longacre, there truly isn't a bad seat. The balcony is fantastic. I really can't wait to see this show!

Posted: 4/7/10 at 1:38pmOoh gonna have to disagree with you rOcKs those boxes they gave for rush seats when I saw Boeing Boeing were TERRIBLE.

Never sat in the boxes. So I guess anywhere but the boxes = good view. Haha.

The rear mezz there can either be horrible (because of the balcony overhang) or just fine. It totally depends on the set for the show playing. They were fine for Boeing Boeing, since the set was not was terribly tall or complex. What's the La Cage set like?
I do agree that the Longacre may have one of, if not the best, balconies. The sightlines (even from the last row) are great, and you don't feel far away at all.
