I would think that the earlier you go, the better the Rush seats since they could potentially upgrade them if they need to fill out the house.
Or do we think the seats are set no matter how well the other sections are selling?

Are the extreme sides of the balcony good? I want to see this when I go in the last week of May. Unfortunately, the discounts don't go that far yet, and that was what got offered to me through Telecharge. If it is anything like the front mezzanine at the Ambassador, I will forget about those or keep checking back.
I'll just admit, I kind of have OCD when it comes to buying tickets ahead of time and am always afraid if I don't jump on something right away, I won't be able to get it when I want. I'm also paranoid about there not being another discount code, which I know is possible.

I was first in line yesterday. I got there at 9:15am. One person showed up about a minute later, and another a minute later. The next person didn't show up until about 9:35am.
At first, the box office worker said, "the rush seats are in the boxes." I had brought along the discount code to see if better seats would be available with that. So he checked, and he said it would be Right Orchestra, Row E, against the wall. Then he said, "hold on a minute." He checked something, and said the box seats were no longer available, but he could put me in the Mezzanine, Row F, for rush. I said I'd just take the discount code seats. He said "OK," then checked back and said those seats were now gone, and the best he could offer with the code was last row Center Orchestra.
So I took the rush seats in Row F Mezzanine (Right Side). The view was full, but I do wish I could have seen more of Douglas Hodge's facial expressions. I went over to Seth Rudetsky's radio show after obtaining the tickets, and met someone there who had just purchased seats to LA CAGE at TKTS and got sixth row Center Orchestra. They were 40% off, though, which would be about $80.50 per ticket, with the TKTS fees, unlike the discount code, which was $55.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Posted: 4/8/10 at 2:38pmPlease report back about how the view is from the boxes for this production. I've had anywhere from a 98% to 50% view from the boxes at different Broadway houses, so I'd be very curious to know before I figure out how I plan to see this show.

Posted: 4/8/10 at 5:05pmYou miss the entrances from the sides and maybe one or two gags. All of the action takes place where you can see it though.

Posted: 4/8/10 at 11:51pmI sat in the Box seat for Boeing Boeing and it was an awful view. May have just been because of that set though.

Posted: 4/8/10 at 11:53pmBOEING-BOEING is a farce. Practically the whole play is in the entrances and exits. LA CAGE is not a farce, so you don't miss as much sitting on the extreme sides.

Posted: 4/9/10 at 3:32pmI have the choice of first row right orchestra on the aisle or first row center mezz. Trying to decide. Any reason why first row center mezz seats at this theatre/show would not be good? I see the first row of the mezz overhangs row H (eighth row) of the orchestra. Seems like they would be good seats. Thoughts/opinions from anyone who knows this theatre and/or has seen the show will be much appreciated.

Posted: 4/9/10 at 11:22pmI sat in the box tonight and had an excellent view. You miss very little.

Posted: 4/10/10 at 12:00amLucious, I'd go with the mezz seats. I prefer them especially when it's a dance heavy show.

Posted: 4/13/10 at 3:08pmIf I weren't to get there until about 5:45 tonight, do you think there would still be a chance of getting rush tickets?
LA CAGE AUX FOLLES Student Rush#40
Posted: 4/13/10 at 3:13pm^ Probably. It's not a very popular rush yet.

Posted: 8/6/10 at 11:57amSo sorry to ask this, but I looked for recent La Cage rush updates and couldn't find any using the "search" button. I am trying to get 2 tickets for tomorrow (Saturday) matinee. If I get there at 9 am will I at least get some kind of seat or is 9 going to be cutting it close?
