LCT announces new dates for FLYING OVER SUNSET and INTIMATE APPAREL

Flying Over Sunset will begin previews November 4 and open December 6 at the Vivian Beaumont. Carmen Cusack, Henry Hadden-Paton, and Tony Yazbeck are all still set to star.

Intimate Apparel will begin previews January 13, 2022 and open January 27 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse.

Can't wait for both, but especially excited for Flying Over Sunset. It was the show I was most excited for.

Jordan, the email I received from LCT announcing these dates had this at the bottom:

"Please stay subscribed to LCT emails to be notified of general, Member and LincTix ticket on-sale dates! "

Rats-missing the start of FOS previews by a week on my fall trip. Maybe I can catch it in the spring. Most LCT musicals at the Beaumont run at least a full season, yes?

Was to have seen "Sunset" last spring before COVID showed up.  Will be back in September, but will miss the opening of it.  Coming back in April 2022 for 2 weeks. I hope it will still be playing.

Well, damn. Will just miss Flying on my Nov 5-8 trip. Hopefully (probably not realistic) will still be playing when there in Apr! (Gonna be there in early Dec too, but that’s mostly planned around stuff my third grader can also see/enjoy.)

February 6 is just the cut off date for sales now. If this has Tony buzz, I'd expect it to extend into the summer.

Public on-sale: Sunday, September 19, at 10 am

Previews begin: January 13

Opening night: January 31

On sale through March 6

The role of Esther (the lead) is being split between Kearstin Piper Brown, who is doing the evening performances and Sunday matinees, and Chabrelle Williams, who is doing the Wednesday and Saturday matinees. Does anyone know anything about either of them?

Here are some footage and clips from Flying Over Sunset. I have to admit, I was expecting this to be more visually stunning and such as opposed to dark. Will be interesting to see the full show

Agreed—the design is much more literal than I would have thought. A little too mid century modern esque for a show about LSD, but I’m looking forward to seeing Cusack

It looks really dull.  I'm glad I didn't cancel  my Morning's At Seven ticket.
