Well, she was good in Rent, though? It's not like she is new to the theater...
Agreed. She was my favorite part of that RENT revival at NWS. I'm excited for the off-Broadway production, but I'd lose my mind to see the Pasadena Playhouse production. Alas, because of work, I won't be able to get out to LA.
I saw MJ Rodriguez in ExtraOrdinary in Cambridge A.R.T. last year. She can sing.
There are so many versions of Little Shop of Horrors going around. A few weeks ago, I saw a version at The Cape Playhouse with Andrew Keenan Bolger as Seymour and Lauren Zakrin as Audrey. It was done very well there as well. So I have high expectations for this cast Off-Broadway.
Perhaps the Pasadena production is going to go down the same road as the recent London production. Casting someone like Riley as Audrey II seems silly unless you’re going to have her strutting across the stage.

Regent's Park used a drag queen, which is something else totally. I saw the production a few times last summer and it was brilliant. Vicky Vox is quite a talent.

Maybe I spoke too soon. She just sang on Pose, and, in my opinion, it's the best she's been on the show.

Really looking forward to seeing this especially after reading all the positive feedback and excitement about this show. I wonder if they'll have a discount code thru Telecharge Offers. Im guessing they may not because it's such a small venue

This looks like since it's a great cast and limited engagement, discounts might be rare. I'm holding out on getting a ticket until Off-Broadway Week tix go on sale, but even then I doubt that will apply for this show.
Oy vey, ether Telecharge was funky or it was easier to get tickets to HAMILTON than this! You're gone on vacation for a week and the run is already almost sold out. Unfortunately for me, it's sold out the week I'm in New York, but I snagged the last $149 ticket for October 9th at 2. So excited!
EllieRose2 said: "It's not nearly sold out, especially when Groff is out. Plenty of seats still available."
There are premium seats available for Groff’s shows, but, besides Wednesday matinees, standard tickets are sold out. I wouldn’t categorize it as “plenty of seats,” except for when he’s out, which has wide availability.

Yes I see what you mean but don't these there's theaters sometimes release seats as these shows get closer. This is a smaller venue so maybe that's not as likely with this show?

Basically all the seats with Groff in are gone, but even the days he is out seem to be selling pretty well. It's all $99/premium seats left for the whole run (as of right now, but I doubt any seats that will open up will be under $99).

Right?! I’m not paying $200 in a tiny theater to see a show.

Exactly! I really want to see Jonathan and his Seymour, so I want a day with him. And plus, I have a huge move at the end of that month. So, earlier the better.

I wanted to see him too, but the selling point for this show for me was Borle, so I'm not too bummed I'm missing Groff. Maybe the alt for Seymour might be another name? I'm really just dying to know who the rest of the cast is at this point.
LS is one of my all-time faves, so I would totally consider returning if the alt-Seymour is just as amazing (and my post-move life isn’t too bad). I am hoping that it’s someone like AKB, George Salazar or Ethan Slater.
I really hope James Iglehart finally gets his moment as Audrey 2. He deserves it after giving up KC for his sick wife.

Yes, thank you. I’m well aware what a drag queen is considering I am one. Amber Riley could easily recreate the same sort of vibe that Vicky Vox gave in London.
How are people able to view ticket availability at the moment? I am debating coming to NYC in fall now in part because of this show but I would prefer to see seating options vs calling as I’m not wedded to a particular date yet and would prefer to see a seating chart. Anyone have some trick as i just get directed to Telecharge which hasn’t worked all week? Thanks!!

What browser are you using? I tried for hours on Firefox with nothing working, but then Chrome worked perfectly fine after putting in the link there. Telecharge is a horrible website, I wish they would update it as viewing tickets sometimes is impossible solely from the design of the website.

Was using Safari but I’ll give Chrome a try - thanks! I agree Telecharge is often wonky but it won’t even load at all which I’ve never experienced so didn’t think to try another browser.
