You could always just watch the dvd in the blu-Ray player. Aren't both compatible?

yes dvds are compatible with blu-ray players but pdjennings probably prefers hi-def as opposed to the quality dvd has to offer, there's nothing wrong with that.

So excited we'll have a copy that won't be ripped from TV.
All these Blithe Spirit requests are wishful thinking right? Or was it actually recorded?

It certainly is wishful thinking on my side. However, both the London and tour productions were filmed to an extent: the press reel footage has been circulating in various interviewes, but sadly I don't believe the full show was filmed.

All shows film BRoll for promotional purposes but it's rare for that footage (unedited) to total more than 45 minutes.

The HD version is available on iTunes for $2.99!! 1080p!!!
I think the cost is because they have it classified as a TV episode, so may want to grab it soon in case that is a mistake.
