I have it on good authority that Harvey Fierstein and Rosie O'Donnell are starring as Galinda and Elphaba, respectively. They've dreamed of playing these roles for years and will do so through the magic of Robert Zumeckis motion-capture technology.
You should hear Harvey's "Popular." It's not as pretty as Chenoweth's, but he acts the crap out of it and that's enough to make up for the two octave drop in register. It's only two octaves because Harvey insisted on singing it in his head voice and not belting.
