Yes its a replica of the US Tour set which aint a bad set at all, the only annoying thing is the sorority house set from Broadway was dropped for the tour and really impacted the staging of the opening song OhMiGod You Guys.

The rest of the set though is pretty similar to the Broadway set, the broadway set was not that big to be honest, only certain set pieces

For a sit down West End production I would imagine that the biggest priority they have is to get that house on stage and work the rest of the set around it.

^ I agree with that. They could EASILY do a smaller version of the opening house. Less Windows etc.

According to a friend the opening set is a series of Doors at the sorority house instead of the sorority house

I hope they change their minds and get the big set pieces in the best they can

It really wouldn't be that hard to do a scaled down Sorority House.

Instead of opening windows to the outside of the house, it could be doors opening in the inside of the house...split level, with balcony and fireman's pole to the side.

Or, just a smaller house - but in parts rather than a solid structure...similar to what they do with the windows at Harvard (during Positive).

Simples *mere-cat noise*.

I've never seen Legally Blonde so I'll have nothing to compare the set to, however drastic the scaling down. My main gripe is with the Savoy itself... I absolutely always, without fail, lose whoever I'm with in there and every single time, we've found each other outside when we've come out to try and get signal. It's a horrible place. I'm not keen on the auditorium either... if you're going anywhere other than the stalls, you might as well watch telly. Even the front row of the dress feels like a cheapy because it seems so far away, and actually quite high if I remember rightly.

There's no way that 'Legally Blonde' will drum up the same excitement that awaited 'Priscilla'.
'Priscilla' and 'Sister Act' are the two big musicals to hit London this year and they are huge compared to 'LB'.
'LB' is gonna fit into the smaller scale. Its audience isn't gonna be as wide as that for those two.

Does anyone know about casting for Paulette? Is it still going to be Mel B?

If not, I think Kerry Ellis would be perfect. She would certainly be a crowd puller for all the "OMGZ Wicked is THE BEST" teens!

while i dont think she'd fit, JOdie definetly does not look young!
especially when compared to Orfeh (original paulette), who in person is the tiniest, most stunning woman!

Jodie so looks young, when she was at the Palace with the Wedding Singer i used to stand outside chatting with her everyday whilst i had a fag. Orfeh whilst she does not look old looks older and vocally is more mature than Jodie

I guess she does look young, I didn't think of that...
Still think she'd be amazing. She has the right kind of voice I think..

Although, the girl that played it on the Tour.. Natalie? She looks really young I think!
