It has been speculated for a while but now it is actually confirmed. Any idea on her replacement? I know Rebecca Naomi James has been tossed around.

Brer, if I remember correctly, she said that before JCM extended, so she may well have believed she WAS staying through him.

I saw her understudy opposite Rannells, and she was great. I'd be happy to see her move up into the role.

I'm wondering if Shannon Conley (the understudy) might not WANT to move up-she seems to spend time with the band and on her own gigs from what I can see. She was excellent in the role-her take was very different from Hall's.

I just think Jenn Collela would be incredible in this role. (I think the Natalie Weiss suggestion that was in the BWW article is very good!)

When I saw NPH in Hedwig I thought he looked exactly like Jenn Collela in High Fidelity.

She had appeared as Celina in her theatrical career for a long period of time but changed it to Lena Hall because she felt 'Celina Carvajal' was too hard to pronounce. Also, Lena is in a band called The Deafening and that is the named she has always used when performing with them. It was just easier for her professionally to merge the two personas!
