I enjoyed the 25th anniversary concert, but it did seem pretty overblown to me. The 10th anniversary show seemed to be celebrating the music and the story, the 25th seemed to be celebrating the gargantuan money-making franchise.
Clap, of course. But I couldn't help but feel like he bumped down to Grantaire instead of Marius due to Jonas. That being said he was a delicious and dynamic Grantaire.
One more day before the STORM At the barricades of freedom As our ranks begin to FORM...
Will someone please explain to me what notes Karimloo is singing on the capitalized words? Because they're not the correct ones. Are they simply the lowest notes he can hit? Very ugly. Wildly off key. Can't believe his success.
I am watching it now on PBS. It's not bad although I enjoyed the 10th Anniversary much more. Nick Jonas is holding his own but he has had this steady look of pain on his face for the entire concert. He doesn't have the stage presence the rest of the cast does.
Nick Jonas was outsung and outclassed by everyone around him. Maybe he's just too used to "singing" with a guitar because his posture looked so tense throughout the entire performance. He was just awful.
