that's awesome! Allison Case is also (sadly) leaving, excited to hear who's gonna replace her. Maybe Alison Luff will return as well?

Care to elaborate? She obviously adores the show and the role. I think it's wonderful that she is returning. She's still available to do a new show in the spring if that's even on the horizon.

Alison Luff is my perfect dream Ms Honey but isn't she still at Les Miz? Happy to hear about Lesli as well..

The run ends September 4th, same date as Allison Case's last show.

While I don't think it's a terrible decision I just would have had someone else. I know they are closing in January, but you can still get someone new for the role. Lesli was apart of the show for 2 and half years, is that not enough? I'm happy Lesli has a job though.

I really would have preferred Cassie. She has also been in the show for a long time, and really deserved being able to play it full time on Broadway. I wonder if this is a money thing.

Not so exciting for those of us who bough tickets to see her in Hunchback here in Los Angeles. Already saw her in Matilda. Already saw Hunchback in La Jolla. Only bought a ticket to see another production to see Lesli. What b.s. news. Will be funny in Matilda closes early.

No a money thing for the show. Personally I don't see her as something that would bring that many new people to the show, but you never know what the production is thinking.

The production is probably thinking 'what's the least expensive way to end this run.' She has costumes and knows the show easily.
I would imagine the new ms honey would be either a tour person or an u/s in the bay show to save money as well.

If I'm not mistaken, there wasn't any audition notices in the past few weeks for any of the adult leads right? So I'm assuming it either has to be a tour miss honey ( only option really is Jennifer bloood), a returnee (Alison or Lauren are the only available for September 6), or an understudy (Jennifer Bowles or Ashley but she just started so I don't think she will move up). While yes, I understand people liked her in the show, but as a fan of the show I would have liked at least Amy to stay since lesli has done it for 2 and a half years. I'm not sure if she has anything lined up for anything, but if not I wonder if they didn't extend her contract, so lesli could come back in. Well anyways it sucks for any one who has tickets to see her in hunchback because the run starts I believe at the same time. I wonder who will replace her in the production.

She's still doing Hunchback in Sacramento at the Sacramento Music Circus, but not at La Mirada. They're in rehearsals in Sacramento right now, I believe.

The paycheck is bigger for her. She probably negotiated more money for her return. And it's Broadsay and she's in NYC and available to audition for other projects.
