In case you didn't recognize her (and not many would I'm sure) - that's Juliana Hansen who sings that on the current promo and who I believe will be one of the performers featured tonight on the show...

This show really ticks me off. It doesn't have to be this awful, it really doesn't.

Agreed.

Colleen, you're right.
It doesnt have to be this bad, they chose to make it this way.
Kind of like how AMERICAN IDOL's first few weeks are decictated to the horrfic and some good thrown in.

I don't think their "making them" wear costumes, they chose to I believe to get attention.

I get what they're trying to do, but the difference is American Idol manages to make it interesting and balance it out with some really talented people. This damn thing is so bland, contrived and completely obnoxious.

Its obnoxious and annoying.
But, hey, people like us are talking about it and watching it which is what they want.

That girl was sooo poppish; I can't stand when people perform a showtune like they're in a concert and not actually in the moment. In other words, I disagree with Jim.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

Not for first open auditon: I guess they could.
Only when they bring them back.

Honestly, i have yet to see anyone REALLY impress me. Why are they doing this? I just dont understand. *sigh* I just think this is a waste of a tv show.

And i agree, why in the world do they have to "look" the part so much. are we trying to exactly recreate the movie? how about not.

Yea, how they're editing this whole thing is a bit ridiculous. There are a number of professional performers who made it through to "Grease Academy" but he appears to be the only one who got major face time during the first round. We'll see how that changes as this progresses.

And that girl dumping her boyfriend over an audition? Harsh. That is one of the most idiotic things I've ever seen.
