^^^ I guess Sunny if she stays with the show will be trained to work with Sadie, since Taylor already works with Mike, the other regular dog they use.

shes aged out. simple. Taylor Richardson is fantastic :)
Lilla's contract probably didn't get renewed because she didn't really seem interested in doing more that 5-6 shows a week...
I've seen Annie 5 times, only ONCE was Lilla in when I went.

NO she aged out..period. A lot of people are leaving around the same time, their contracts are up.
There was never any intention for Lilla to be on 8X a week..and I don't think there was any intention for her to remain past her contract. It's a lot for an adult actress/singer = let alone someone who is 11-12 years old...no matter how talented. Why are there 4 Matildas? Or were 3 Billy Elliots? And now she is being replaced by 2 Annies. She was as a rule there 6X a week. She did a great job and now she is being badmouthed for leaving? I have seen Annie 4 times - 3 times she was there.
Actresses come and go all the time...anyone badmouth Katie for leaving? Or the other kids who are leaving now too? It's just unnecessary to pick on her..she's a kid.

This is the first time they've openly split the role of Annie on Broadway, though. McArdle and Kissinger regularly did 8 shows a week, right? (Did they?)
I'm not defending nor trashing. I thought Lilla was great. It's just something that I noticed, and I know I wasn't the only one.

Can't we stop this? She's like so amazing in the role!
No, nothing. She's aged out, gotten too tall, time to go. Hopefully she has more ahead of her.
Has her mother tried a combination of coffee and wrapping her daughter tightly to stunt her bone growth?
Yup, posts keep going missing. I think it's Mama Crawford. Updated On: 6/28/13 at 09:25 PM
And now she's on my tv on PBS!!!!
There's a documentary on the staging on HARD KNOCK LIFE?
Lmao the "info" on the "guide" literally says that's what this is. Clearly not accurate.

I've heard that Neil Patrick Harris is replacing her.
Sadie Sink is from Houston, and our city is just beaming with pride about this opportunity for her! She played ANNIE when TUTS did it a few years back. I'll be interviewing her for BroadwayWorld in July!
In the meantime, here is a story from the Houston Press about her.

I would really like to see Sadie in the role. When I last saw Annie, she played an orphan as a sub and she stood out to me in the group and her voice sounded strong as well. I look forward to seeing her interpretation of Annie. (I have already seen Taylor.)
Congrats to all the new girls playing any of the orphans. I hope you all have a lot of fun. And good luck to all the girls who are leaving. I hope you all have wonderful new adventures to come.

Kathy, how do you know that Lilla was never intended to do 8 shows a week or that "she aged out.....period". Are you making assumptions? If not, where are you getting your info from cause you seem to know a lot of inside info about Lilla.

As someone who saw the show the first week in June, I don't understand how Lilla aged out. She looked like she could carry on with the show, and still be believable, for months to come. Now one of the orphans, (the dark haired one)seemed like she was getting too tall and as you say aging out. But not Lilla.

Is Lila doing a bus and truck company of Peter Pan?

She was expected to do 8 shows in the beginning, but it became too much for her and apparently her mother won't allow the stage managers to give Miss Crawford notes after performances and to quote: They are picking on her! So it is picking on her if she yawns on stage during a performance, when it isn't a bed time scene?
Hahahahaa
