Here's the thing about Ursula, kids: while I realize the book has not yet been completed, don't forget that in the movie more than half of her time is spent above the water trying to get Eric to fall in love with her,... using Ariel's voice. So... it has to be someone who can glam up well.
Sexton replaced Luba Mason in J&H, not Linda Eder.
She did cover for Linda Eder (and Luba Mason), though.

Flounder: They'll get a kid.
Sebastian: I have NO idea how they'll do that.

I think it would be cool to have Kevin Cahoon and Raúl Esparza as Flotsam and Jetsam, but I know it won't happen.

I know Seth Rudetsky (host of Broadway channel on Sirius) at least auditioned to play one of the eels, I think it was.
I just love Emily as Ursula and I think she is perfect for the role!
I really don't dig her on the demo.
seeing her perform poor unfortunate soul at her concert the other week with an added riff at the end was pretty damn amazing!
100% official from a cast member in the show.
Sherie Renee Scott as Ursula.
Norm Lewis as King Triton.
Titus Burgess as Sebastian.
Christine Daee cover from Vegas Phantom as Ariel.
...oh my GOD. Are you sure?!
Yes, completely sure. My friend has been working on the show and says the only thing that is completely choreographed is "Under The Sea", and a lot of it is, as rumored, on those Heely shoes to give the affect of swimming or floating. They're still looking for a Prince Eric lead.
Hmm... now why can't they find an Eric?
That I don't know.
How would Norm Lewis work as King Triton? Sierra Boggess doesn't look anything like his daughter.
I don't see how that would be believable on stage.

Suspend your imagination.
Celia Keenan Bolger doesn't look like Gary Beach and Jenny Galloway, nobody talks about that.
I'm telling you that Norm Lewis is King Triton. Official.
How would Norm Lewis work as King Triton? Sierra Boggess doesn't look anything like his daughter. That wouldn't work.
Nor are they mer-people! That doesn't work.
Once again... so... pumped... for this!!!

Well, John Cullum is playing Audra McDonald's father in the upcoming revival of 110 in The Shade, and they look anything alike.
The cast sounds...OK so far.
And I think they will do Flounder, The eels, Sabastein, and maybe even Scuttle with puppets.

Christine Daee cover from Vegas Phantom as Ariel."
That would be Kristen Hertzenberg or Amanda Huddleston, but Sierra Boggess is the one who got Ariel.

IMO, that doesn't mean a thing. While this supposed cast member may be blabbing what he/she has heard verbally or seen in talks for certain roles, only the actors and producers involved know what's being negoatied in contract form. Theater boards Admins. have made their own "official" announcments, only to find that deals sometimes fall through.
Bottom line is until it's in ink and the show does an offical press release nothing is fact.
A handfull of people know who will replace Shuler Hensley in Tarzan. I only know because the actor called me to let me know what he's doing next month. I'm happy for him. But out of respect for those involved, it's only fair to let them announce it.
Specualtion or rumors are ok and even fun for fans, but people involved in a show or in this industry should respect the actors and the producers right to announce casting.

"I will be starring next as Sebastion in Disney's The Little Mermaid. We will have an out of town tryout in Denver, Colorado. We will preview on Broadway in November, with a December 6th, 2007 opening."
Hope this hasn't been posted yet. I know there were rumors, but if this info from his site had been posted, sorry.
