Oh I know. That's why I said I wish she were a bigger name. I think her Clowns would be exquisite. She would make a great interim Desiree if they need one before a new star comes in. Maybe she'll do a different production someday.

- I definitely agree with that! I am hoping she will be cast as Sally in next year's Kennedy Center production of Follies.

I'd actually much rather see Mazzie play Phyllis in FOLLIES than Sally.

Marin's "Losing My Mind" is too exquisite to have her play Phyllis. Phyllis really needs to be Vanessa Williams. I'd be very happy with those two.

Williams is a rangy actress, she can play more than an ice queen, she's great at doing ice queen roles but she could also deliver a touching "Send in the Clowns" I'm sure. And don't count me as one of those who thinks Catherine Z. Jones lacks warmth in the role, I thought she was perfectly cast as Desiree and was hoping she would take the Tony come June (I blame Megan Mullally).
I'd be in heaven if Mazzie played Sally and Murphy reprised her Phyllis for Kennedy Center. PASSION reunion, that'd be divine.

Mazzie would be great at either of the lead roles in FOLLIES, but I think she lacks a certain fragility that makes for an ideal Sally. Phyllis would allow her to showcase the gritty edge she so seldom gets to utilize, though it's on full display in ENRON at the moment.

After seeing the range of her talent in RAGTIME, I'd love for someone like Christiane Noll to take a crack at Sally.

Although I haven't seen Rapture yet (I am going to the first preview on Monday) I could still see them awarding Rapture (Sherie and Scanlan) for book, and Zeta-Jones getting the Leading Actress Tony. The Sherie fanboys on here do need to recognize the fact that politics play a huge role in these awards.

The Tony Awards + Broadway would definitely gain more press if CZJ won the Tony and not Sherie :P.

^ Exactly. And awarding her with a Tony would give her even more of an incentive to return to Broadway in the future. Any producer would kill to have her in their show as we know she is a major draw.
