Feeling grateful for my October $147 (with fees) Dress Circle seat from when they originally went on sale.

LOL Offensive? Broadway is a business and seeing a show is a bit of a luxury. $200 is not a lot for a Broadway show. As my Dad always says, if you can't afford it don't cry or get a better job so you can enjoy nice things. in life! Dad's right!
Look at what concert tickets go for and tickets to see a game? Now that's Offensive the prices that are charged for VIP seating!!! The prices that we hear friends pay for concerts and sports events is Appalling! Broadway's actually not bad.

AND eventually, Kiss of the Spider Woman, CHESS and Cabaret

Bro, you are just being a complete and utter a**hole right now! You need to be stop being so damn judgmental! You definitely could make these points in a more polite manner or just keep your mouth shut if you have nothing nice to say!
Sorry...200 IS a lot of money for a broadway show - and prices have ballooned very quickly. It wasnt THAT long ago, I was able to state I never paid more than 100 to see any show...including the original cast of Hamilton, 3x.
Comparing it to an athletic event or concert, has little meaning. Sure, they are all entertaining (supposedly). But each game has an unknown trajectory and result. Both those events don't plan to run 8 consistent shows a week year round. Do I understand the cost of either of those activities? Nope.
I see almost all shows I'd like to in NY, but as I get closer to retirement, I wonder if I'll be able to continue. Certainly not at the rate I do now.
People are allowed to bemoan how much more elitist their favorite activity is becoming.

I actually blame Hamilton for this. They are the first show to charge an obscene amount of money - numbers we have never seen Broadway, they got away with after their initial sale. I watched my seats (Row L in the orchestra) go from what I paid (about $189) to about $800… for the same seats. Not resale.

Out here sounding like Francis from Pee Wee's big adventure.
A Good Thing Going: Merrily We Roll Along (Finally) Heads Back to Broadway
On a chilly day in early February, Jonathan Groff, Daniel Radcliffe, and Lindsay Mendez are huddled on a couch in a photo studio in Queens. Not three weeks after Merrily We Roll Along ended its off-Broadway run at the New York Theatre Workshop, gathering again for a photo shoot has made all of the actors cry. (An amused publicist thinks it was the sight of their old costumes, by Soutra Gilmour, that set everyone off.) “It’s just really settling in that we’re taking this to Broadway,” offers

Has the production announced an opening night yet? I looked at the Broadway League opening night calendar and couldn't find one for Merrily. I'm guessing sometime in October 2023.

Looking at the schedule of performances, October 8 should be opening night.

Playbill article today says opening night is 10 October.
Since October 10 is available to the public, I'm assuming they're doing a separate invited opening night celebration on October 8.
