I cannot get this clip to play, no matter how I approach it... I can get all the other BroadwayWorldTV ones to play, just not this one-- on BWW or on youtube.

I still cannot figure out the appeal of Miranda. What makes her popular?

The fact that it's all an act, she happens to be very talented:

She's a fabulous character actress/comedienne, that's what makes her popular.

Loving the sibilant "s".

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. I'm sure I'm the only one who does this. But every time I see a headline like

MIRANDA visits 'Rock of Ages' and teaches them a few things...

I automatically think/hope it's Lin-Manuel Miranda. Not sure what he would teach them, but still I'm sure it would be fun.

I get that it's an act. I just feel that it is performed rather poorly. I just haven't seen anything she's done that is witty or funny. I'm just reminded of amateur hour at the college drama department. The whole pretending to sing poorly schtick would be hilarious if it seemed genuine and not so obviously forced. What's the fabulous part? The eyebrows or the lipstick smear? If she is truly talented, I would love to see that side of her.

I'm not a huge fan of her in her own videos but this was a little better. I guess you'd say the other actors made her better...or made her suckiness easier to ignore.

Ahaha! I agree with B3TA07, her own videos got a bit old after awhile, but with all of the other actors acting with her, it was really funny. That whole cast is hysterical.

My favorite part is when that one guy started singing "Johanna" and she said, "Um... okay, did they happen to tell you, you can't sing?" And I love how a lot of her singing sounds like a middle-schooler who can't belt doing a Patti LuPone impersonation.

"If she is truly talented, I would love to see that side of her."

She has her REALLY singing on Youtube.

I've done a show with her and she is PAINFULLY talented.

She's also currently a 'lead vocalist' in many Disney theme park shows.

That's wonderful. I'd much rather her watch her as a talented actress than as this Miranda character, which I don't feel displays much talent at all. I just think if she didn't target the Broadway musical fans so heavily, she'd be written off as a bad recurring SNL sketch. It's too bad we didn't have YouTube in the 90s or my twentysomething theatre friends would be celebrities.

Her appeal is that a large majority of her subscribes honestly don't know if it's an act of not.

And I must admit that at first I didn't know if Miranda was a real person or not. She plays the "Youtuber who thinks they're amazing, though they're really not" bid very well.

I don't think she's that funny. More that the people she's taking the piss out of, i.e. the Wicked fangirls et al who post themselves screeching defying gravity, don't realise and post comments like "omg shes sooooooooo fUNNY" or "omg u suck plz stop".

I guess I might fall for it on Youtube if it weren't for the huge lipstick smear and constant eyebrow wagging, which are dead giveaways. But the voice and personality are just too forced to be realistic to me. The moments she slips out of character and just relaxes into herself are the only points I see something with potential. She has great facial expressions when she's not trying so hard. In this particular video, I can see some sparks of ingenuity, but I'm flabbergasted how she got to this point. I would probably love to see her doing anything other than Miranda. I just find Miranda painfully unfunny.

Did anyone else's YouTube get completely messed up after viewing this? Mine will only play videos now if I continually move the mouse.
