I know it's a small room and not a Broadway theater, but my husband and I went to see Marilyn last night (Sunday Nov 2) at 54 Below for her show commemorating the 100th birthday of Johnny Carson. We saw her for the first time this past Spring when she was a performer at Carnegie Hall at that Hello Dolly tribute show. 97 years old and still has a powerhouse voice! She's doing a few more nights in November at 54 Below, so if you want to experience a 97 year old dynamo who's still belting, go see Marilyn. She's a hoot! Attaching a video that the woman next to us filmed.
Maye is a performer's performer. Everyone should know her name, but sadly a lot do not.
She's a legend for good reason. So glad you posted about her here.

I saw her in Ptown this summer and she was terrific. And then she came to tea dance. If I should be so lucky to live that long I want to live my old age like her.
I remember my parents having her STEP TO THE REAR album. A fun album that’s available to stream everywhere…
