It's not an "autobiography". It's a "memoir".
Thank you very much.
source?
Thanks! I didn't think you were making it up, but I wanted to know if there was an official website listing.
I cannot wait! Can you even imagine what the crowds will be like? There will be queens waiting in line for days.
I'm too far away. Do you think there will be Patti LuPone: Some Signed Copies available on the website?
if you had been creative enough to think of Patti LuPone: A Memoir, you'd be guaranteed a signed copy.
Just bring a copy to the stage door next time she does an extended engagement and she'll sign it. It beats suffering all day in a hot line in mid-September at B&N.
Feb. 28 - Looped, Feb. 28 - Next to Normal, March 4 - Hair, March 11 - A Little Night Music, March 24 - Time Stands Still, April 6 - La Cage Aux Folles, April 10 - Anyone Can Whistle (City Center), April 10 - Looped, May 9 - Enron, May 15 - A Little Night Music, May 15 - A Behanding In Spokane, May 30 - A Behanding In Spokane, May 30 - A Little Night Music, June 20 - A Little Night Music, June 23 - Red, June 23 - Sondheim on Sondheim, July 13 - A Little Night Music, July 18 - The Grand Manner (Lincoln Center)
So after all that hubbub about a contest to name the book THAT'S what they came up with? Lame.
Just a reminder about this signing.....I'm really looking forward to reading this book. It'll be fun!
Remember: "NO TAKING PICTURES!!!" STOP...STOP....STOP!!!!!
She would just sign at the stage door, no?
^ She probably would, but it'll be interesting to hear her discuss the book. Plus she'll be performing. I'm honestly not sure if I'm going because I have a class that night, but I'm sure it'll be great.
Does B&N require that buy the book from them at the event, or can you bring your own copy?
I too am waiting to get my pre-ordered book and audiotaped. Prepared to be shocked and thrilled. I'm guessing that the "Sunset Boulevard" section will be worse that we had ever imagined. from RC in Austin, Texas
She's quickly becoming the female Arthur Laurents. Her OUT interview was so unflattering and sad.
Will she include a photo section in the middle of the book? I'm dying to see the "Andrew Lloyd Webber Memorial Swimming Pool"!!!
just kidding...

No, but the event listing says there's priority seating with purchase.

Ahh, can't wait! I'm going to leave work around 4:30 on Thursday and get up there by 5...then wait in line for 2.5 hours.
Anyone else going around that time?

For my fellow Long Islanders, the Magnificent Patti will be at Huntington's Book Revue on September 20th, 7pm. why deal with the riff raff of NYC when Patti will be in the more dignified environs of Suffolk County?
Because dealing with all that long Island trash sounds more torturous than siting through her SWEENEY TODD again.
You lucky people I'm someone from across the pond who adores Patti. Her Sunset period will make an interesting read.
Surprisingly, I just got my copy from Amazon a day early.
