Not for a while I'd imagine. Would be hard for amateur groups, high schools, communities etc, judging from the sets they use, as well as Mary flying over the audience.

Everything in life...is only for now.

IF they ever allow the rights, it would be few years after the tour which starts in 2009.

Broadway Shows I've Seen: Hairspray, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors (2003), The Wedding Singer, Spamalot, Riverdance, Rent, Beauty and the Beast, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Legally Blonde, Phantom of the Opera, Sweet Charity (revival), Drowsy Chaperone, The Lion King, Dreamgirls(2010 Tour).

I'd say it'll be 7-10 years after the Broadway productions opening, if the Broadway company is still running at that time. If not it depends on how long the tour runs etc. I'd imagine that MTI would handle all the amateur productions since they license B&tB, Aida, and all of the Disney "Jr." productions.

Cheers,

Christopher

Would you stop being such a downer? The show is grossing over a million a week. Coupled with massive souvenir sales, it's going to be a bonanza for Disney. It will play all over the world and I'm sure they were relatively happy when the show ended its run in London.

"I'm sure they were relatively happy when the show ended its run in London. "

It hasn't ended yet. It closes in early January.
