Posted: 5/2/13 at 3:45pmHey everyone! The cast of Matilda performed on GMA this morning and I didn't get to watch it. Does anyone know where I can find it? I checked all over the internet and cannot find it anywhere.

It should be at this link: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/matilda-musical-cast-performs-naughty-school-song-gma-19091187 but it's not working.
The cast performed Revolting Children, not School Song like it says there, and Bailey performed Naughty. They also showed a teaser earlier in the show with Oona and cast performing Bruce. I guess the full version of Bruce will be an online exclusive.

Posted: 5/2/13 at 10:04pmI said Bailey performed Naughty. By herself, no other girls. Oona was performing Bruce with the rest of the cast in the few seconds teaser that was shown of it. I doubt they would work all 4 girls into that number. The whole cast was together at the end of GMA to wave goodbye and I only spotted those two girls, not the other two.

"because the original novel is British, set in Britain, and it's a British production?"
Oh i see. Weren't the producers pressured to Americanize it? How does equity feel about bringing over British actresses?

Posted: 5/3/13 at 11:08amAlot of the cast is from the States, I believe, even the Matilda's are.

I bet the producers were as tempted to Americanize Matilda as much as the Billy Elliot producers were willing to Americanize their show. As in, there was no option for it.
Many of the lyrics and rhymes don't work without the accents. I don't think they were willing to do a whole rehaul of the lyrics just to Americanize it.

Thanks for the better quality one. Really enjoyed their performance. From the BWW pics of GMA Bailey and OOnna are both there at the end of Revolting Children.
Where is the clip of OOnna and their interview?.
Thanks in advance.

There was no interview. There was a couple seconds teaser of Oona and cast performing Bruce. I was assuming they would put the full Bruce performance online, but I haven't seen it on their site yet. Why would they perform it then?

I don't think there was a full performance of "Bruce." It's likely that they just had the cast perform a bit of the choreography from a different number for the short promo about the upcoming performance. If you re-watch the short snippet, you'll notice the staging isn't quite right for the full number, the most obvious one being that there's no Bruce.
There's a chance they performed the whole number and it'll be on the website at a later date, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
