I happened upon Matt Doyle walking out of The Westside Theatre today at 5:15 carrying a big binder.
Just interesting...
Saw a rumor last week about him joining as Seymour, so I guess it might be true.

I have never clicked on a thread faster, hoping I get a chance to see it!

I'm supposed to see this 11/18- was getting a little concerned given it looks like sales figures may not be great (based on checking for tickets on random dates. Assuming (always dangerous) that the sighting means what we think, its a good sign. (I'm happy to see either Rob or Matt- not sure how long Rob's contract lasts)
I'm seeing it on the evening of 11/20 and that performance seems to be pretty well-sold. Perhaps being on a Sunday evening is a popular time since there are fewer options. I'd be thrilled with either Rob or Matt either, but it would be exciting to see a recent Tony winner in the role!

This production really needs to stop with the perfect casting, and making me want to come back again and again.

I adore him.
Saw his solo act in Chelsea and was super impressed. An extra bonus, was his hilarious Patti stories.
he said after she called Phantom overrates, the cast sent her a gift basket to her theatre.

He posted on his Instagram a couple of days ago “going to rehearsal” or something like that, which definitely makes me think he is indeed going into Little Shop and probably pretty soon if he’s already in rehearsals. I’d imagine an announcement is imminent!

They should stay open until they cycle through every working Spring Awakening alum available, from Spinella to Gallagher.
Lea Michele as Seymour would be glorious

How about Beanie Feldstein as Audrey?

This made me remember how much I miss having the option to see Spinella on stage. One of my favorite actors.

Well, he's still in Harry Potter.

He said on Instagram he'll be at his sister's wedding 11/18-21. It seems a little odd they's have him start three days before he needs to take time off. I'm actually seeing the show that weekend (purchases the ticket some time ago). I'm sure the understudy is wonderful, but I end up just missing Rob but missing Matt as well. (Admittedly, first world problems).
He's still listed as performing with the NY Pops on 11/18, so not sure what's going on with that, in relation to his sister's wedding. In any event, all his absences are listed on Telecharge:
Matt Doyle will not perform the role of "Seymour" November 17–20, December 1–4, & January 29.
