So did anyone see Erik in the show today? i wonder how he was in the part. I hope he takes over the role when Matthew leaves. I'd go back to NYC to see Erik in the role. I liked Matthew in the part but Erik was so impressive even in the smaller role of Lewis that I figured he would make another great Pippin someday.
I will admit that this is a show where recasting a bunch of the leads is going to be a challenge. I mean Andrea Martin and Terrence Mann will be difficult to replace and finding someone to take the place of the fiercest goddess on Broadway, Patina Miller, is gonna be really hard!

Posted: 7/8/13 at 12:07amThey have now added a Pippin standby to the cast, Billy Tighe. Once he is properly rehearsed, I have a feeling Erik Altemus will be going on for Matthew James Thomas a whole lot less frequently (if at all).
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Damn, that sucks! I hope that the standby is fierce.
The Leading Player seems much more worthy of a standby than Pippin. I wonder if Patina will get a standby soon.
