I see a link above that reads "Mazzie, Hadary join 'Spamalot'." I assume this is referring to Marin Mazzie and Jonathan Hadary. I can't seem to open the article. Does the pertain to Broadway/Vegas/tour?
It's Marin and Jonathan but i'm not a member of the site so that's all I know. I'm assuming it's Broadway b/c they are joining in October

Wow! Marin's going to be The Lady of the Lake. She'll be amazing.

Wow, I accidentally created my own thread for Marin. When I saw the news, I was so excited that I missed this thread. Now I have to see Spamalot!
Marin will be great
As will Hadary. Extraordinarily underappreciatead and underused performer.
The whole article is very short and reads as follows:
Mazzie, Hadary join 'Spamalot'
News Brief
By GORDON COX
Marin Mazzie ("Kiss Me, Kate") and Jonathan Hadary ("Awake and Sing!") step into "Monty Python's Spamalot" on Oct. 31, playing the Lady in the Lake and King Arthur, respectively. They'll replace current thesps Lauren Kennedy and Harry Groener.
I love Marin, but am I the only one who thinks this seems to be kind of odd casting? In any case, I wish them both well.

It does seem odd, but this just may make me wanna see this show.
i think the casting is strange as well...but i LOVE marin and am SO excited to have her back on broadway!!!

That's so exciting! Congratultions to both!
OMG!
That's all I can say right about now.
A suprise! But a very pleasant one at that. I love both of them
Wow, I agree. This is a very specical suprise. Mazzie could be the performer to get to me to actually see this show!
I wonder how Mazzie's voice will sound with these songs, and how she'll look in the role.
I can easily see Marin in this role. I love that they've gone with strikingly different women when recasting this role. Sara to Lauren to Marin. All are so incredibly different as performers.
I'm excited!
I'm sorry i thought Mazzie's only good role was Mother. I just don't think she is that strong of a comedic actress. Yes, she is an awsome singer but yea.
Marin is a great choice, and although I've never seen Hadary live, he seems like a good fit as well.
However, I still hate Spamalot :)

wow I don't know how you could sit through Kiss Me Kate and the On the Twentieth Century concert and think she's not a great comedic actress. She stopped the show everytime I saw I Hate Men.
And she's really only had 1 comedic role on Broadway. She generally does dramas.

They're certainly going in a different direction with this role....
So much for Simone, who apparently (according to people here) "had" the role...
"according to people here"
pretty much, yeah.
That means nothing.
Suddenly I'm thinking how Rachel York and Carolee Carmello might fair in the role. Hmmmm.

Ohhw My God! Whyyyyyyyy did I see this show when I did? I only wanted to see it so I could have seen it. I don't want to go again, but there is a chance to see her live finally!
Grr decisions.....I don't think it is worth going back to see Spamalot just for her, but wow good for her. Best of luck to her
My decision is not hard, as much as i love Marin, i am not seeing Spamalot again.

Marin is going to be really great, I'm sure!
Well, and this is not a dig, just a fact, they were clearly going for a much older "Lady" this time. I don't get it and they continue to miss the "obvious boat" with Orfeh, (the only perfect casting, IMO). I'm sure she'll be fine but it's still an odd choice.
