Any news regarding Me and My Girl casting at ENCORES this May?
They only just released cast info for GRAND HOTEL so I wouldn't expect any casting until the tail end of March or the start of April even.
I've got my ticket for Thursday, May 10th. Really looking forward to seeing the show. It's one of my all time favorites as I've been in various productions of the show over the years.

Somehow I feel Charle Stemp would be a knock-out in the lead.

Charlie Stemp would be perfect casting. I do believe, however, that he is contracted to Hello Dolly! in May. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. And yes, Warren Carlyle is the perfect choice to direct this show.

I think he would be perfect for the role, in 10 years. The role calls for a man not a boy. He is supposed to be set in his ways with a past not just starting out. And, if I remember right, he and Sally have been together for years. The original star was in his mid 40s when he played the part, Robert Lindsay was in his mid 30s when he started doing it in London. Plus, the part calls for a baritone and I think Mr Stemp is a tenor. I'm tired of baritone parts constantly being changed to tenor.
Mr. Stemp seems more appropriate for a show like HALF A SIXPENCE.

Dear God, I need to see this. And it needs to come to Broadway with that cast!
I had pretty much zero desire to see this, but with that cast I could be convinced!

I'm considering flying in for one night just to see this show- I was hoping they'd cast Christian as Billy and now that it's happening I can't miss it!
I would love for Maryann Plunkett to be involved!
Great cast! Very excited to see this show. I've got my tickets for 10th.

The first performance is under way! I'm going Friday. I've avoided the clips they've released but am loving the production photos. Looking forward to hearing thoughts on tonight's show!
Where is the orchestra? I didn't see them in the pictures.
Hi all! I went to opening night of the show tonight and it was incredible!! Definitely needs a Broadway transfer... the cast completely knocked it out of the park!

The orchestra is pretty much a part of the set- Staircases and platforms are built around them.
The Lambeth Wall got applause as soon as the first notes started, and rightfully so, it was the highlight of the entire night!
What's the running time?
I would be extremely elated if this transferred to Broadway.
Maybe it was the production, but I saw this show at the Shaw Festival and found it absolutely dreadful. This cast does intrigue me though.
The New York Times review is up (Jesse Green). Likes the performances; the show, not so much.
