Mean Girls Fan Day Performance

I know the mods locked the other thread but I'm still hoping to hear some reports of what the show was like!

Let me know if I should just post in the existing Mean Girls Previews thread!

Swag included a free Mean Girls sippy cup of rose wine (for those of legal drinking age —-ids were checked twice) and also a Mean Girls Kalteen “nutrition bar” courtesy of Dylan’s Candy Bar. It looked like souvenir programs were being sold..

Also at the top of the show, Jonathan Bennett (Aaron from the Mean Girls film) came out and read a proclamation from the city and introduced Casey, Nell Benjamin , Jeff Richmond and Tina Fey (then Tina gave a welcome speech).

got to go to the performance after all. ????? It was incredible! But yeah no special playbills. They did have an after party across the street where actors asked trivia questions and Tina Fey asked a question with JON HAMM??? Random??? But it was so fun!

Came on just to say that I know of several people who have bought playbills from "BroadwayWiz" through facebook groups and, after paying, never received anything and whose messages were ignored after. So, yes, they are a problem, and this isn't a case of "bullying a harmless small business owner."

On the topic of this thread, however, I was at the performance last night and it was certainly energetic! They did sell souvenir programs and they have some great new production stills in them.

I remember last season, tons of people hadcomplaints on social media that they never received the giveaway prizes. From her account she seems like a nice lady though"

I'm sure she's nice, just very unreliable, and that's a huge problem when money is involved.

However, I don't believe the person on this thread is the same woman.

You might not be a twelve-year-old stan but you sure talk like one, albeit with horribly outdated millennial references. Good for you on going to the show, I guess? Glad you had a nice time.

Exactly. We just waited across the street. Then people who worked the pick-up tables ran across the street with boxes of unclaimed tickets. They said they were bringing them to the box office. Pick up continued for a while, and then, as it got closer to show time, suddenly someone I was waiting with ran outside and there were two people giving out left over tickets!! I can’t believe how lucky we got (and of course they were legit tickets).

Wow. I really hope someone replies that way to you the next time you start a post on here asking for advice on how to get tickets to the next thing that you really can't put into words how much you want to attend."

It was a joke. Calm down. I believe I did explain it somewhere further up on this post? If not....here goes.



So I knew there wouldn’t be a rush line or anything, but I decided to go by the theater anyway. The person at the box office said all tickets had been claimed (lies). I decided to stick around because hey, you never know, right? There had to be at least one person who didn’t show up? So I waited across the street. As it got closer to showtime, I found out from people standing by me that they did in fact have tickets. About 10-15 minutes before show time they moved the ticket pickup line from a bar across the street to the box office. I stood there with three other people. I saw one of them run outside and just outside the doors were two people with envelopes with tickets!!! They definitely had them leftover. I asked for one, and GOT A TICKET. Left orchestra, not a bad seat at all!! I couldn’t have been more thrilled.
