I've also heard about this rumor and would love to see her takeover as the new Glinda. Having recently heard her again, she is one of my favorite Glinda's purhaps my favorite, or just a little behind Kristin.

I LOVE Megan in the role and I hope she gets it. She really is one of my favorites. For me she is just a little (very little) behind JLT:)

I personally was not a huge fan of Megan's Glinda. I thought she was good, but nothing really special. I hope if this is true, she can work on her comedic timing, because that is what I really felt was lacking from her performance.

WOW...that announcement just cost me thousands of dollars. Can't believe I will get to see BEN VEREEN on stage.

In December I got to see Megan and Shoshauna perform for Idina and JLT and they were very good. They carried the show well!! Megan is the NBA's version of Glinda, she is a bigger Glinda. (but not Chirstie Ally big) I can't wait to see them in the Spring.

I saw Megan in December and adored her! I loved her "Popular"...especially the little dancing she did on the line, "Your whole life is going to change and all because of me." Can't explain it, you just have to see it lol! I'd love it if she took over for JLT in April. I'm a fan.

i just saw "wicked" once and megan was doing it with idina menzel..and i thought she was amazing......she will take over the lead im sure.

very off topic but u kno who would make a gr8 glinda if she could sing?----- kelly ripa!!! i mean come on, on hope n faith she proves she has the comedy chops... all she has to do is be good at singing which i dont think she is

Megan is definitly taking over (mid April, i believe). Keep an eye on her too....as this is only the very begining of a very long career. The girl is the definition of "triple threat", and the nicest person you could ever meet.

If its true, I am so happy for her. I think she's an amazing Glinda, and she can only get better once she takes over and can perfect her own take on the role! She's such a sweetheart, too.

I saw an article somewhere that said Megan HIlty is confirmed as the new Glinda in "Wicked" when JLT leaves. I'm so excited about it. I got to see Megan in December and was really pleased with what I saw. She had so much to offer to the part and her chemistry with Idina and Joey was amazing. I hope they don't change their minds and that they keep her.

I saw Megan and I could tell you that Megan was fantastic. She deserves an open mind just like everyone else. She hit all of the high notes and had such a good sense of comedy.

Best of luck to her...she looks like a blast just in her headshot!

For the people who saw her and didn't think she had the timing, think about how hard of a role that must be to fill-in for. I would think that role would take a lot of practice to get everything on the nose...so I have great respect for Glinda understudies and standbys.

People, please, just because someone can hit a high note, that doesn't make their performance better than anyone's or even good. Now, I haven't seen Megan, I'm not saying this is the case, I just can't stand when people defend casting decisions based on a "high note." As for JLT, I love her, I was hoping they would extend her contract. Oh, well, all good things must end. After all, she hits the high notes too!

i saw megan in december and it was my first time seeing wicked... so all i had in mind about the show was the OBCR... but megan was definitely amazing! her vocals are awesome and she was hilarous... i've seen a bootleg of cheno doing some songs and cheno was, of course, awesome too! but megan is definitely close behind cheno... i would be thrilled if megan took over for JLT!

I haven't seen Megan yet, but I LOVE JLT, so I can only hope that Megan will do well in the role if she does eventually take it over. From what everyone has said about her, it sounds as if she will.

I'm just curious why a legitimate news story (not a gossip item) stating that Megan Hilty is taking over the role of Galinda is causing so much speculation as to whethere it's true or not. The news story states that she is definitely assuming the role in April. Maybe I shouldn't believe everything I read, but this sounds pretty legit. So I say Congratuations, Megan. I'm going to see Wicked (my 3rd time) this coming June and am excited that I'll get to see virtually a whole new cast from the one I saw last September. And the following month I have plans to see the tour in L.A. I really enjoy seeing the same show with different performers. Only the stage allows you this, and it's a real treat!
