There are 1000000 million great actresses on Broadway, and they are going to put Melanie Griffith to star in one of the best triple-threat roles in musical theater, that's just fascinating.

I'm starting to think of it this way.
When Brooke Shields was announced for Ruth. The HATE was everywhere. people were so pissed - everyone was expecting her to fail because her previous 2 Broadway ventures weren't so hot. And look she proved everyone wrong - giving a stunning performance.
I'm not so sure Griffith could do that, but it IS possible.
But this hasn't even been officially announced, so who knows what may happen.

Melanie is a big Hollywood star. I think it's gonna be hilarious to go see her...she was so funny trying to dance and sing when she did her Broadway debut.
