Just got an email, courtesy Melissa Errico's mailing list. I could not be happier.
"Dear friends,
Just an update on what has become a wonderful new chapter of life: from three daughters to a new show on Broadway!
I am just speechless with gratitude to be returning to the Great White Way, and wanted to make sure I didn't forget to spread the word to all my loved ones (who will say that yet again, I didn't tell them about something!).

Melissa stars in the Rosemary Clooney role of a lifetime on Broadway in WHITE CHRISTMAS opening at the Marquis Theater. Based on the smash Irving Berlin musical 1954 film, it arrives on Broadway in 2009."

OK, I love Melissa Errico, but am I the only one who finds this to be an odd casting choice? I don't think she has the right type of voice for the part. Her voice is beautiful, but for some reason I can't hear her singing the role.

She will be on a crazy treadmill of shows if she goes from Mamma Mia to White Christmas to Minksy's.

Beth Leavel and Rachel Dratch are both a part of MINSKY'S.
Are you sure you're not getting that show mixed up with WHITE CHRISTMAS, Jordan Catalano?
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
