Sorry if this has been asked before but…
I am trying to plan a NY trip for March to see Merrily We Roll Along and a few other shows, but also wanted to see Cabaret which starts April 1. Does anyone know if there is any chance that Merrily will extend past March 24th?
Also, wanted to see Guttenburg, but guessing there is no chance that extends to March since it it supposed to end in Jan, right?

I haven't seen anything here that provides a definitive response to your question, but in the thread for the Merrily reviews, some have speculated that an extension might occur based on the strong ticket sales and language used by some cast members in interviews:

It seems like they want to extend this until the Tonys, however ticket sales for the first extension actually aren't that strong as of now (most performances February and March still have at least 40-50% of the house available). That will likely pick up as those dates get closer, but I could see this going either way right now as far as being able to make it past March 24th.

I'm guessing their plan is to give a false sense of urgency in buying those high-priced tickets by keeping the March "closing date" for now. Once it gets closer to the original closing date, they'll probably announce the sale of an extension.
If they announce an extension too early, the sales would probably stagnate as buyers think they have much longer timeline to see the show. Similar tactic to Funny Girl - when they announced the closing date 6 months away, it probably increased the demand for those few months.

Looks like they are pricing 11/24 as the final performance right now: It's the only performance with a top price of $799.

Correction. Saturday evening December 30th is also $799 and next Saturday evening is even higher. But it remains true that the pricing for 03/24 reflects something different compared to the rest of that week at least.

If I was a gambler, I'd bet on an extension happening.

To My understanding. A final extension announcement is planned within the next 6 weeks with a closing of June 9 (though the conversation was brief. I may have miss heard July 7). But it’s “final extension” is a must close in the first part of summer.
With the return on the show they are looking to actually recoup before then.

Sonia Friedman often employs the same extension strategy when she has a hit on her hands. She extended Leopoldstadt and Ferryman in quite the same way as the extension has rolled out for Merrily thus far. If I were a betting man, I’d say July is when we see this actually close (as was the case with the aforementioned plays). I’d expect final extension to go on sale either just before the holidays or just after the new year.

They're definitely looking to extend it into June for the Tony Awards.

I hope you folks are right! I'm coming down in April, and have left 2 show slots open in hopes of another extension.
Does anyone know if Jonathan, Lindsay, and Daniel have been performing Wednesday matinees? I checked the show's website, and didn't see information on this.
Thanks.

Groff and Radcliffe haven’t missed a show. Mendez has missed 15 shows so far in the last few weeks, including all shows this week (updated to include Sunday show 11/19 ).
