Lost in the background of Charlotte d'Amboise and Chistina Applegate is what a great job Michelle Dejean has done playing Roxie Hart the last few shows
That's awesome. I'm so happy for her. I saw Chicago in September when Michelle was playing Mona, and I thought she stole pretty much every scene she was in. I'm seeing it again in April, do you know if she'll still be playing Roxie?

I saw her as Mona too, and I thought she was fantastic. She shows enormous personality on stage and she is absolutely beautiful, which makes me absolutely jealous.
yeah, michelle is super hot. i'm a straight girl, but if i met her in a bar and she wanted to makeout, i wouldn't turn her down. i'm kidding, mostly.
lol
but she is rediculously hot, and probably the main reason i think chicago is one of the sexiest shows ever.

Michelle did a superb job as Roxie. She's one of the under appreciated talents in that company who's finally getting her chance to really shine.
She totally out did herself when I saw the show Sunday evening for Roxane Carrasco's final performance. Needless to say, it was kind of bittersweet.
I'm glad she's still going on though -- last I heard from her Belle Calaway was going to cover the rest of the performances Charlotte was out. I'm assuming this changed because at the time, they had no idea how long Charlotte would be out.
Good for Michelle -- I'm very proud

I concur that DeJean is a fabulous Roxie, definitely go see her if you can. (And the last thing I heard is that she will be playing the role for the rest of this week, at least.) One of the best singers I've heard in the role, and very funny, too. (She does some things a little differently than a few of her predecessors, which is amusing to jaded repeat-viewers like myself...)

Agreed, NBC. The show Sunday (as you know) was even more amusing given Roxane's final performance AND Michelle on as Roxie. There were quite a few fun moments and adlibs that left the 4 or 5 repeat offenders in the audience laughing hysterically (especially me.. and I was in the front row) and the people around us wondering what the joke was that they were missing.

I really don't have anything new to add to this thread, but I still think she's not getting the attention she deserves, so I wanted to put Michelle back at the top of the boards.
By the way, is she still playing Roxie?
i think DeJean is great too, but i've always wanted to see Potterf do Roxie as well.

Michelle is contracted as Roxie indefinitely. (I'm assuming, until Charlotte comes back)

Thanks CJR!
I'm going to NY in April and taking about a dozen of my aunts and cousins to see Chicago. For most of them, it will be their first show. Hopefully, Michelle will still be Roxie. Although it won't surprise me if I still prefer her as Mona. Because ... WOW!
Michelle is so talented.
I really hope the Weissler's give Charlotte a little break so Michelle can play the role a little longer. I really wish I could see her in the role this week. I really think Charlotte deserves a nice little break/vacation. The Weissler's have had her all over the place, and she's been working very hard.
I'm so glad to hear Michelle is so great in the role. I hope she gets more time in the role!

I saw Charlotte in Sweet Charity tonight in Boston and she didn't blow me away. I thought other members of the cast were better.
Just because I'm curious...
For those who saw her as Roxie. Did she look like this...
with her hair up and everything?
