So, I just checked the Once On This Island Cast and Creative page and Michelle Williams is not there anymore... is this a website mistake or did she leave the cast???

I do not believe she has left the cast but she has been out a lot recently which isn't a good sign... hope everything is alright because I loved her Erzulie

She and her fiancee ended their engagement recently and it was just made public yesterday. Maybe she needed some time? Hope she is still in the show..

Can't 100% recall but I swear that their instagram account had a big "Now on the Island, Michelle Williams" spread on their instagram page when she started and now that I looked back, it's not there. The pictures from BEFORE she started and was meeting press are there but I can't for sure recall if the welcome stuff was just a story of if there was graphics that have since been removed.

I would not be shocked though if they put it back up because someone noticed that the removal was noticed. This might be the end of it or it might not. It's a very odd and yet kind of interesting situation to watch unfold. Perhaps it was all just a false alarm?

Sandy Duncan (Neverland) and Jeffrey Tambor (La Cage 2011) both lasted less than a week each because they were not up to the demands of the roles. And there's the now-legendary story of Robert Stack almost going into the original La Cage!
The Williams situation seems different (if it even is a situation. For all we know, she could be out with a cold, or for a previously-scheduled absence! Let's not jump to conclusions...)

Bought tickets to the show again (because I love it), and was hoping to see her. She was out of my performance on Sunday night. I have seats to closing day as well. I won't be heartbroken if I don't see her, but it is just strange. I'm curious.

I do feel like Cassondra is gonna take over the role and Cicily will be the understudy. If this does happen, they need to bring in another understudy because if Cassondra is out, Cicily is on, you never know what could happen.

Lea Salonga to return on Dec. 27. Cassondra James will play the role through Dec. 26.
"Her understudy Cassondra James will assume the role from now until December 26. Lea Salonga, who originated the role in this production will play Erzulie from December 27 through its final performance on January 6."
