Isn't he amazing? He deserved a Tony for his role in Rock of Ages.

Posted: 3/1/10 at 10:12amHe is amazing! He is our favorite cast member of Rock of Ages and the only one where we would be extremely disappointed if we saw an understudy for. We found him to be hilarious on the Tony Awards and seeing him perform twice in person was even better. I hope he stays with this show for a long time to come!! Would love to see him on the tour, although realize it's highly unlikely.

Oh yes.... I love Mitch!
By far my favorite ROA Dude
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu#5Mitch Jarvis Appreciation Thread

I became a real fan of Mitch after seeing him twice in ROA, and then in all those zany webisodes (Angel's baby!!!!)
I thought he was funny, sexy, and had that certain Je ne sais quoi... and then along came the Men of Rock of Ages calendar.... and let's just say I know MUCH more now than I wanted to.
Seriously, the dude is even more kick ass than he thinks he is.

Posted: 3/1/10 at 3:51pmI was invited to the show once again, and Emily played Sherrie and Geoff played Drew and in it just wasn't the same. Mitch got all the applause at the end. When the lead couple took their bows, people were basically not clapping anymore. It was odd. The house was nearly sold out.

For those who don't know, he is going to be in a show at Joe's Pub in May with Wes Taylor & Lauren Molina.
Check out JoesPub.com for details.

I do like that one, it's from when he was in Hudson Stage Company?
The day I found out he was in HSC & that I performed on a stage he's been on I almost died, haha.

I think it was! Haha. Since Kerry is leaving RoA I am paying an homeage to her with her picture this week! LOL
I love Kerry so much. Did you enjoy her Sherrie?

Honestly, I love Kerry Butler as Sherrie, she's my favorite that I've actually. I'll probably be there for her last week if I can manage it.
And I have a soft spot for Savannah, even though I never got to see her live in the role.

Ok, let me know if you go see Kerry again. I might join you, although I've been seeing this show way too many times lately. I wonder when they will announce her replacement.
I feel like seeing Emily and Geoff last sunday almost didn't count. I truly didn't enjoy the show as much, they do work very hard and they are extremely talented, just not the right people to play those 2 roles.

Mitch Jarvis is my hero!
What is so bad about Geoff as Drew? Haven't seen him, but would love to hear more about his performance other than he simply sucks.

His wig looked terrible, he had pitch problems during the entire show. He has a nice voice, but his range is far from Constantine's. The acting was so so.
I think he must be a great performer but not as Drew. They need to get a performer that can hit the notes that Constantine hits.
Emily was also very good, but her voice doesn't come close to Kerry's. She has a pleasant voice, a great body, and she can dance. But Kerry has a certain star quality hard to find, also Kerry takes the acting REALLY serious, although the show doesn't take itself very serious, which I think works fabulously because her character has some sort of depth.

Wow... too many to chose from! I have a couple of favorite numbers, not necessarily because they're the best song, but because of the way they are performed.
Hit Me With Your Best Shot - simply hilarious. Gotta love Franz in his one piece.
Can't Fight This Feeling - Mitch and Adam do such a fantastic job during this song, I can't understand how they don't crack up laughing everytime they perform it.
Don't Stop Believin' - Great ending number with the whole cast.
How about you?

I think ROA has two 11 o'clock numbers: Hit me with your best shot, and Can't fight this feeling, loved both immensely!
When Constantine and Amy sang High Enough, I could feel the intensity and challenge in their voices to hit and keep those high notes. That number really worked.
A guilty pleasure - Paul Schoeffler's seductively rich voice when he starts off We Built this City.... "Say you don't know me..."

Do you think immigration would mind if I took Mitch home with me on my next visit? I could entice him with chai...
And I never got to see Schoeffler when I was over as he was on a long break, I think. Sadface!
