I think there was a thread on this a while back but i coudn't find it.
For me:
on bernarda Alba Martirio- when she goes "I deserve my love" I just hate it I don't know why.
ON last 5 years - Summer in ohio The part "with a gay midget named carl" she does this pause thing after gay that annoys

*in "Big Girls Dont Cry" on the JERSEY BOYS cd, when JLY goes "cry-yie-yie" there is some little high-pitched squeak the bugs me so much!
*on the ALL SHOOK UP, cd, there are many moments...

Sutton Foster's Show Off just doesn't sound right to me on the Drowsy Chaperone cast recording.
The woman who is sharp on the last note of the Wicked soundtrack, I hear it over everything else and it annoys the crap out of me.
All the talking in Mamma Mia.

In the Original Broadway Cast recording of Chess, during The American and Florence/Nobody's Side, the way he sings "I'm only teasing Soviets with gentle Bonhomie, and you've a better reason to be anti-them than me" is way too quiet. You can barely hear what he's saying and it frustrates the hell out of me.

I agree, BNN! That last note of the Finale in Wicked is fugly!
Into the Woods Revival Recording - During "Agony", when they sing "I must have her to wife..." at the end, Gregg Edelmann and Christopher Sieber belt "wife". I liked it better when Chuck Wagner and R.West. sang it in their falsetto.
Sweeney Todd Revival Recording - "My Friends", when Patti sings "You've come HOME!" "My Friends" is not a song you should belt on if you're playing Mrs. Lovett.
From LES MIS (Castle on a Cloud):
"There is a room that's full of toys
There are a hundred boys and girls"
I feel like it should be girls and boys to rhyme...oh well!
The moments that aren't there - the ones they cut
To Jim - the whole CD of Lestat I cannot hear
The last "Wiiiickeeeeed" on the "Wicked" recording...
There is this one really loud and shrill woman's voice that sounds just so off...
It really annoys me!
The fact that MJW is completely not in synch with the music during "You Can't Stop The Beat" on the Hairspray recording, I'm really surprised no one's ever mentioned that before and just about everything about the Footloose OCR makes me nuts.
Secret Soul from Jane Eyre. She is SO flat in the beginning on the word "Lord."
Mandy Patinkin in Liliy's Eyes. He scoops pretty much every note. UGH.
Mandy does that in every note of all he sings
WithoutaTrace:
I am NOT a fan of the song Castle on a Cloud, but the lyric would be even worse if the lyric were flipped to rhyme:
There is a room that's full of toys
There are a hundred girls and boys
Where do you go musically from there? The words don't sit on the music properly. Additionally, none of the verses rhyme those two lines -- they're all:
A
B
C
C
such as:
"There is a castle on a cloud,
I like to go there in my sleep"
"There is a lady all in white,
Holds me and sings a lullaby"
Mamma Mia! - the entire recording
1. "Prime Rib, or Fish" at the end of The Wedding Singer OBCR.
2. Defintaly agreed on Idina's breathing.
3. The person who hits the last note at the end of "Give them what they Want" on the DRS recording. Its really loud...and annoying.
Ok, jasonf. I guess that's why the lyric is the way it is...it just sounds weird to me every time i hear it.
On the Company OCR, very end of the first song- On the final "loooooooove," someone tries to man-belt the high note and goes so completely flat. He eventually realizes it and drops out, but it drives me nuts.
^ Uhh. That's not a he. That's The Elaine Stritch.
And it's HILARIOUS.. because it's Elaine.

The fact that no one really attempts an accent on the "Fiddler" revival CD (with Alfred Molina). Not any of Tevye's family, anyway.
Also, the intro to "Matchmaker".
Kristen Chenoweth's voice when she says "I've always wanted to see the Emerald City". Accent, pitch, everything about that sentence annoys me.
Patti LuPone's accent on the NYPO recording of Sweeney - just appalling.
I love Wicked and I've listened to the cast recording many times but there is and audiable breath from Idina just before 'and if I'm flying solo'...I love the woman in the part but it's annoying (think that's the first bad thing I've said about her.....)
Ok let the throwing begin...
Hairspray.
it is too easy and to early to bash Idina and her lack of breathing so i won't....
"Back at Work" from Millie. Those damn telephones piss me off everytime. Sutton sounds so blah too.
bwayondabrain, I've noticed that squeak too. It's so random! It's one of those quirks where once you notice it, you listen for it every time. Definitely drives me crazy.
