Hudson has a pleasant little voice. Nothing great, but not bad.
It's probably smart to get another name actor in the mix.
I sincerely hope they didn't cut Saraghina from this movie.
I know I've said it over and over again. But, it'd be a travesty if "Be Italian" was cut.
If they're keeping SIMPLE, I cannot see how BE ITALIAN would be cut.
I'm just nervous about the fact they haven't announced a Saraghina yet. That attached to Marshall's "it's almost like a new musical" comment makes me feel quite uneasy about "Be Italian," one of the most important songs in the entire score.
Amazing news below!!

I know this is from a while ago, so I apologize if you know this already, but I was reading an article online (LA Daily News 8/21) about Fergie joining the cast of Nine. She was discussing Saraghina and said
"I'm not sure whether you’d call her a prostitute or maybe the boys just give her some coins for a little touchy-feely,”
The interesting part of the article came in the form of the following:
Fergie will take on Saraghina, who introduces future film director Guido (played as an adult by Daniel Day-Lewis) into the world of sexuality. Her song: “Be Italian.”
So I'm pretty sure that's somewhat of a guarantee that it will be in there. Good news, eh?
Fergie is a major recording artist and not known for her acting chops.
It would be kind of an oxymoron not to have her singing in a movie musical.
But who really thought BE ITALIAN would be cut anyway?
They're keeping SIMPLE.....so I knew they wouldn't cut BE ITALIAN.
Something tells me Fergie's gonna tear the sh*t out of that song...in a GOOD way.
I think Marshall is very trustworthy and won't let anyone chew the scenery.
ROSCOE: OMG I can't wait!! Only the astonishing majesty of PASSING STRANGE can outshine what will surely be Rob Marshall's crowning glory!
Okay, we get the joke. And... cut!
But of course, NINE is being directed by the greatest living artist in cinema today, so it can only be a life-changing masterpiece, just like his magnum opus CHICAGO.
And... cut!
I too trust Marshall. This film will be a worthy successor to his other masterworks.
You should be thinking "THANK GOD THAT ROB MARSHALL HAS DELIVERED ANOTHER WORK OF CINEMATIC GENIUS UNTO US LUCKY AUDIENCES!! HOSANNA!!"
Who said anything about Rob Marshall, easily the greatest living director of cinema? Goodness, you are touchy today.
If only ROB MARSHALL was directing the film of PASSING STRANGE!! We'd have a work of art that would bring about the Rapture itself!
You're a fun puppet, Roscoe.

See? I don't ever have to post on that topic again. Folks will just go right on dredging up posts from months ago to do it for me.
