A show that's sold out for months. It's annoying as hell and no it's not just a FB problem. DEH is buying the ads specifically driving the point of how wonderful their Tony nominee in a tight race is. Sure, the ads are seen by the public but let's not pretend Tony voters don't Facebook.
You really think a Tony voter who has already seen all the nominees and has formed opinions is going to change his or her vote at the last minute cause of a Facebook ad? I don't. And as been pointed out, those targeted ads are because you clicked on an article or on something related to the show or went to the show's website. If a Tony voter hasn't done that, they're not seeing the ads you are. And yes, they are annoying but those advertising $ keep a whole lot of things on the web we take for granted free. People never remember that part of the equation.
