Every night during the second act, Morgan James will now be feed to the giant in lieu of a character with merit #horrified
I heard that she's the namesake of the St. James Theatre.
If you look into your webcam and type her name three times, she tweets.
A one woman rendition of a mash up of Addams Family, Wonderland, and Godspell.
At the next Actors Fund benefit, she should come out and sing "Popular."

^I'm guessing you don't know why this thread was started, eh? It's not really a celebration of her.

i know why it was started, but i can still point out the good!
i don't agree with what she tweeted, but i am not going to stoop to her level and judge her unfairly.....
In situations like this, it's good to ask oneself: WWALS?
("What would Arthur Laurents say?")
That video of James is a really great example of why people with outstanding voices but also happen to be completely uninteresting don't work consistently. Comparing it to Melba Moore's performance on the Tony's, sure it's not an acting master class, but at least she was interesting to watch and had something behind her eyes besides, "Now, Morgan belt."

And just because you can "belt" a B flat does not mean you should.

I have never seen Ms. James in anything, but all her youtube videos would keep me away from any show she was in. That screeching just hurts my ears.
Sondheim's butler. Kind of like fake TV pilot on SEINFELD where the plot is that Jerry gets into a car accident, and the guy who caused the accident doesn't have insurance so he's sentenced to be Jerry's butler.
Well since Morgan James doesn't have any tact or talent, she should be Sondheim's butler since he has both, and is an author of INTO THE WOODS. (When she Tweets about the revival of ANNIE, she can be James Lapine's butler.)
Screechy Gladys Kravitz in the upcoming "Bewitched" musical, with Melanie Griffith and Chris Kattan. Her big number will be, "Somebody's up to something and I'm hash-tag horrified!" There's absolutely no chance this could be her fourth flop.
I just listened to that YouTube of Morgan James singing "Popular," and all I can say is: HOW can you **** up Popular?? I fear musicianship is dead at the Laurie Beechman. And acting, for that matter. #horrified
