Most Overrated Musical (and Actors) of All Time- Page 6

There are lots of musicals I really don't find that impressive (that nearly everyone here loves) but I have no right to judge as I have only listened to the cast recordings. The thing is, why would I want to see it if I don't like the music?

Fair enough, although I've found there are more occurences where the CD doesn't do justice to the show, as opposed to vice versa.

Case in point: Mamma Mia, Boy From Oz and Wicked cast recordings are really quite terrible, but are pretty good in person. (Even though still overrated.)

On the other hand, I find the RENT obc recording to be better than the actual show, but that could be because I saw it with the current cast, which people say don't nearly compare to the OBC.
