Just saw this, what a shame, I'm surprised to hear that it had to do with Mantello. I was hoping to catch her in this during the summer, it's always nice when she comes back to do stage work.

This makes no sense... There is only a little over 2 weeks til it starts. I think she would have pulled out earlier if she was having problems with him...
Also, if this is true, it would suck because I really was looking forward to seeing her on stage, and the only reason I bought a ticket.

Isn't Joe Mantello known for being confrontational with his actors...? I didn't think this was a new tidbit of info.
I really hope this isn't true. I was really, really looking forward to Mullally's performance.

I always figured Mantello was known for letting his stars do whatever the hell they wanted.

So happy I only paid $10 for this. A lot of people are going to be VERY disappointed. I wonder if they will try to get another big name for this show.

This upsets me, it seems very unprofessional of hers. She knows that most people bought tickets to see her in it.

Oh, does she? Most people actually bought tickets because it's a Roundabout subscriber show. People will see it no matter if it's Megan Mullally or Understudy #4.

This thread alone hardly represents all the people who will be seeing the show.
A great many Roundabout subscribers aren't a) on the message boards b) pay attention to theater gossip c) even know who's in what. I was at a performance of WAITING FOR GODOT last year where a subscriber asked the ticket taker "What do you mean we're not seeing DANCIN'?"

OMG Sueleen, you're right. Isn't it going to be hysterical to hear Karen say "Eff youuuuuuuuuuu!" because she couldn't on Will & Grace.
