Pretty excited. I love the movie, and this cast just makes the stage production have that much more potential. Can't wait!
I'm excited for this. I really enjoyed the movie, and I'm SUPER excited for the cast!
Have they not found a Cassandra (Eva Amurri character) yet?
So excited for this!
Aaron Tveit and Curtis Holbrook should switch roles.
Curtis..Julia..Aaron..Celia.. on the same stage? I'm going even if I have to push an old lady down to get that ticket Mel!

Mary as Hilary Faye is genius!
I cannot wait for this one. It will be worth planning a trip around all by itself!

Damn!! I saw the reading and Bobby Steggert was GREAT as the brother in the wheelchair. I was really hoping he'd do this. Take the nasty taste of SLUGBEARERS away.
"Aaron Tveit and Curtis Holbrook should switch roles."
NO!
That would put Aaron in a wheelchair, immobilized.
Aaron is way too good to be stuck in a wheelchair.
I wonder if they will nix the wheelchair and give Roland something like polio braces so he's more mobile.
I cannot wait to see this, I adore the movie. Thus far I don't think they could have cast this anymore perfectly. Especially Celia as Mary and Mary Farber as Hillary Faye.
I read somewhere that this was intended for a Broadway run....can anyone attest to that?

to notabb: In Bobby Steggert's bio in the Slugbearers playbill, I'm pretty sure it said he was doing Saved, so I'm also disappointed. But I actually loved him in Slugbearers.

I hated the score to SLUGBEARERS but I also loved Bobby in it.He was also great in 110 IN THE SHADE and YANK. Looking forward to his Mordred in CAMELOT
Wait is Curtis Holbrook leaving Xanadu??

I hated the movie. (It as just weak plot-wise to me)
But this cast is fantastic.

I think you're JK, right? Because Curtis Holbrook is INCREDIBLE too, especially as a dancer.
This is going to be one tough ticket, isn't it.
This is gonna be FIERCE!!!
Agh, any chance it could extend a week? I'm going June 25th.
EDIT: Nevermind, the 21st,I might be able to see it.

For people wanting to get in on the ground floor with this one, Van Hughes has been on as Link in Hairspray all week so far - can't promise as to the weekend, just throwing it out there. He leaves March 30th.
