Rent
Bombay Dreams
Kiss of the Spider Woman
La Cage
any others that come to mind?

Posted: 2/14/06 at 10:59am"Dance A Little Closer" had two supporting characters who were gay lovers . A young Brent Barrett was one of them and they sang as they skated together on stage. The song was aptly titled, "Why Don't They Leave Us Alone!".

I wouldn't say the gay characters in RENT are leading as much as they are supporting plot devices.
